1952 MG TD Project For Sale
My husband had started to restore this car and accumulated over many years thousands of dollars of new and good used parts, actually more than would be needed to restore this car. Some of the new parts are those currently costing a lot of money, such as a new top and side curtain covers and new seat covers. Though a full restoration would require significant work, the car is almost all together and could be gotten back on the road without a full restoration with minimal work to the body and interior. Since the car is basically complete and assembled, the buyer is assured that all of the parts are present. The body is rust free but needs to be painted. The gray color in the pictures is primer, so there is no bare metal. Mechanically the car will need to be gone over thoroughly. Since it has been sitting for a long time, the brakes will need to be rebuilt. It is not running and driving at this time, therefore the drivetrain condition is unknown.
The car’s chassis number includes the prefix TDC, which designates it as a Mk. II and includes at least some of the rare Mk. II items such as the 1 ½” SU carbs and the hood bubble on the right hand side. It does not appear to have the dual fuel pumps and may not have the Andrex friction shocks. The car is garaged at my home in Camp Hill, PA. 717-763-1585 (my home phone). A message can be left if I’m not home. My email address is [email protected]. Please contact me for more information and to discuss price. I am asking $7,500 or best offer.
